Kanala and Sadanand

Kanala Auer from Vienna and Sadanand Magee from Dublin perform concerts of improvisational Indian classical-style music on sitar and tabla all over Europe.

The two started playing together as a result of touring on Songs of the Soul concerts. Since then they have gone on to perform many concerts including a very successful tour of Portugal and concerts in Austria, Germany and Ireland. The expansive sound and rhythm of sitar and tablas mantric recreate an atmosphere of meditation, filling and elevating the inner depths of the listener.

Kanala has been playing Sri Chinmoy's music for over 15 years. He is one of the talented instrumentalists that perform with the "Arthada and Friends" ensemble all over the world (including in the 2010 European Songs of the Soul tour). Accompanying him on percussion, will be Sadanand Magee from Dublin. Sadanand is something of a Songs of the Soul fixture, having performed in almost every concert since the series began in 2008.
