Sahadeva Orchestra

Singers and musicians from many countries come together in a performance that blends Sri Chinmoy’s melodies and poetry into a soulful musical tribute, arranged and conducted by Sahadeva Torpy.

Sahadeva, an accomplished pianist, has been arranging Sri Chinmoy's music for many years and is a key member of the English group Ananda. The orchestral finale first featured in Songs of the Soul during the 2010 European tour and drew widespread acclaim for its powerful and soulful performance. In May 2011 the orchestra performed alongside Purushottama for a special concert in Rekjavik, Iceland.
